We have a photovoltaic system on the roof with a bi-directional meter. We are currently still with the main energy supplier and want to switch. Is it possible to change providers, or do I need to be aware of anything specific?
Of course, that's possible. The electricity provider only cares about the input direction, and the grid operator only about the output direction. You only need to be careful if you have multiple meters, for example for a heat pump, as it can (!) get complicated.
