We were aware that the kitchen in our house is not ideally laid out, as it is an existing property, not a new build.
The problem is that the room where the kitchen is located has an L-shape, which is fully occupied by the kitchen units but without a built-in refrigerator. We bought a new, beautiful fridge, but there is no suitable place to put it inside the kitchen.
The L-shape along the window and one side wall is fully used, the kitchen is not large, and the refrigerator would have to stand free against the opposite wall, which looks and feels awkward in terms of space.
There is a small storage room off the kitchen, about 2.5 square meters (27 square feet), filled with shelves. Inside, there is a circular ventilation duct leading to the outside wall. If we remove one shelf, the fridge would fit perfectly there.
My husband thinks, however, that running a refrigerator in such a small room where the air does not naturally circulate freely could potentially be dangerous.
