Hello everyone, I have a question and would like to hear your opinions: Do you think it makes sense to put the IKEA Kallax shelving unit on legs instead of placing it directly on the floor? I’m referring to those small wooden or plastic feet that you screw or stick under the unit to raise the furniture slightly. I’m mainly interested in aspects like stability, ease of use, cleaning, and appearance. Could placing it on legs also affect load capacity or the ability to slide something under the shelf? I’d really appreciate it if some of you who have tried this could share your experiences. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your previous answers! @nubar, you mentioned the load from books and decorations. Have you recommended or used specific legs that can withstand such weight? I am also interested in whether placing the shelf on legs increases the risk of tipping, for example, if the legs are narrow.
