Hello,
I recently came across an interesting offer that Tchibo is promoting for nature lovers or people looking to take a break from city life: a turnkey weekend house for 50,000 euros. These small houses, offered in cooperation with a partner company, are said to be an affordable option for anyone seeking a retreat in the countryside. However, there are many factors to consider, such as the size of the property, infrastructure connections, and possible additional costs for the plot or other expenses. For this reason, I wonder whether this offer is actually a worthwhile investment. Has anyone here had experience with similar projects or thoughts on this?
Would such a house be worth it for you, and which aspects would be most important in your decision?
Best regards

However, there are many factors to consider,... including the foundation ... the roof covering
... the plumbing installations for the bathroom and kitchen facilities
... and the building permit / planning permission at the installation site, which must also meet delivery requirements (accessibility, etc.).
What purpose do you have in mind for the house?

However, there are many factors to consider,I would like to add:- connection to water, sewage, electricity, etc.
- no heating system included in the house
- roof load capacity insufficient for photovoltaic panels
- delivery without pre-installed electrical and plumbing systems

Would a house like this be worthwhile for you, and which factors would be most important to you?For me, three factors would be decisive: 1. The value such a house would have for my life and that of my loved ones.
2. The location of the building plot and the opportunities available there.
3. Whether I have the disposable money for it.
About 10 years ago, we considered buying a chalet but ended up purchasing a camper van instead.
If you ask whether the investment is worthwhile, it’s less about the cabin and associated costs, and more about the location.

These small houses are simply holiday homes, similar to mobile homes and chalets, which can be custom-ordered and then placed on leased land or recreational plots.
For permanent living, they can be used with a proper foundation and heating/water connection, provided the land allows it. (I am deliberately leaving out the topic of primary residence, as it is not relevant here.)
So, anyone who prefers this over buying a permanent pitch with a caravan, etc., can set up a portable toilet and a basic kitchen and use water from the campsite. However, this option is somewhat more expensive than the version mentioned earlier of nature-oriented holiday culture.
