ᐅ Is a folding attic ladder worth it?

Hello,
there are these folding scissors-type stairs that can be used instead of the "normal" wooden retractable attic ladders for access through the attic hatch.

These scissors stairs are made of metal and would mean a higher cost compared to the wooden ladders. Apparently, the scissors stairs have a higher load capacity.
So we are a bit undecided.

Maybe someone here has already looked more closely into the differences and can give us some arguments for or against such a scissors-type staircase?

Thanks in advance.

I had actually assumed that a scissor staircase might also be more comfortable. Some models look in pictures as if you can move the base of the stairs forward or backward depending on the situation, and some have wheels at the bottom – although I still don’t understand the purpose of that. Oh, and they are said to have no swing radius, although so far I haven’t noticed that regular pull-down stairs cause problems there...

Well, I’m just hoping someone who owns one will speak up. Or at least someone who decided on a completely different type of staircase to the attic – maybe there are more options.

Maybe the material, metal, is more durable or easier to clean? Maybe they are easier to open or close? Or perhaps even heavier than wooden stairs?

So many questions.
