SamSamSam13 Sep 2021 17:58Hello,
I recently visited a local fireplace installer to get advice and initial rough pricing for our new build project. I was quite shocked when he said that the smallest panoramic fireplace would cost over €10,000 (about $11,000).
So my question to you: Does anyone know of a good and affordable manufacturer of so-called panoramic fireplaces? Kits are also welcome since the budget, as mentioned, is quite far from the initial offer :/
For those interested, the quote was from Hark.
We are not looking for a fireplace with water heating or other fancy features. It should simply be an "ambient fireplace," so heating capacity and similar factors are not important.
Thanks in advance!

Our team each got a Hase fireplace, model Sendai and Dehli respectively. Well made, good draft, and if loaded correctly, the glass stays clean.
Regarding the price: Keep in mind the professional connection and chimney installation—you can easily reach 10,000 euros.
You will be surprised. If you have a modern house, the wrong sizing can turn your living room into a kind of furnished sauna.

The word "Panorama" already suggests the 10,000 € price.
If you do a quick search online, however, you can also find building kits starting from 6,500 €.
Why are the parts so expensive? Because they are bought. 😉
In 2009, we had a fireplace stove built. The insert (6 kW) from Spartherm (not Panorama) cost nearly 2,500 € at that time.
A Panorama insert alone certainly costs over 4,000 €.

nordanney13 Sep 2021 20:17Something like this? A see-through fireplace? A few years ago, it cost us around €10,000 (+/-). But not from Hark (which is basically a DIY store for fireplaces). It was a Spartherm, installed by a professional fireplace builder.
If you want to build the fireplace yourself, you can pay just a fraction of that price. The fireplace insert alone should be around €1,500 to €2,000 if you don’t insist on a “brand.” The rest is drywall construction and connection materials.
We have the Neocube P20.
It features a fantastic panoramic glass panel (kit) with selectable colors. Heats very well. However, we have a chimney with double flow (separate fresh air intake and exhaust) – Schiedel Absolute. The price for the fireplace including installation and connection was under 6,000.
