ᐅ Is a building permit / planning permission required retroactively for a 45 sqm carport in Schleswig-Holstein?

Hello everyone,
I have the following problem:
During the planning of our house, the parking spaces were also included in the drawings. The architect stated that nothing else needed to be included, as no further information was required for the building permit / planning permission. That was two years ago.
Now we want to move forward with a double carport with an attached shed and found out that since the end of last year, a building permit / planning permission is required in Schleswig-Holstein for structures over 30 square meters (323 square feet). This is very frustrating, as the architect could have addressed this right away back then.
We are wondering if there is a way to avoid this building permit / planning permission? Or do we have to bite the bullet and spend around 3000€ for the permit application, drawings, and structural calculations? We are currently trying to find solutions. If we had built the double carport six to nine months ago, we wouldn’t have needed a permit. Now we do...
Can you follow so far and suggest possible options? Thank you.

I just checked again myself. Listen up! Small buildings (which also include your shed) are only allowed to have a volume of 30 m³ (cubic meters) (about 1,059 cubic feet).
So, either a carport with a storage room that together have 30 m² (square meters) (about 323 square feet), and then you build an additional carport (again maximum 30 m²), or a carport with 30 square meters and a shed with 30 cubic meters.
