Hello everyone,
A good friend owns an optical shop. The store has been broken into twice now. The property damage each time was considerable. Does anyone have experience with intruder alarm systems and possibly connecting them to a mobile phone? I really like the concept of a fog system, but it also triggers the smoke detectors...
I would appreciate any information.

@superzapp That doesn’t sound too bad, which brand is it? And why is there a charge when the police come? Isn’t that their duty? Don’t I already pay for that through my taxes?

I also have three of these in my current office (without an intruder alarm system). They record when motion is detected. But I believe something like this should not be designed by yourself if high values are involved. The intruder alarm system also needs to be "insurance-compatible," otherwise it will not provide financial support in case of damage.

If there are intruders, then the police response is probably free (most likely).

However, it had to be regularly inspected or maintained (battery, mobile transmitter if no landline, door lock, etc.). This, of course, also involved costs! So, keep ongoing expenses in mind.

But thanks anyway, that helps.
