kaiserstand3425 May 2019 15:21Hello everyone,
I would like to have interior window sills with a shadow gap in my house. Originally, I wanted to use "Helopal linea," but both my plasterer and carpenter advised against it. They said that installation on plastered walls is extremely difficult and they cannot guarantee a clean result.
So, I started looking for alternatives. I came across interior window sills with pre-assembled shadow gap profiles. According to my carpenter, installing these should be straightforward. However, I am skeptical about the HDF material they are made of. My clear preference would be cast marble.
Therefore, my question is: Does anyone in the forum know where I can get the type of shadow gap profiles shown in the attached picture? Or does anyone know of a similar product made of cast marble with pre-assembled profiles?
Many thanks!
Clemens

Could you please share a picture showing how something like this is supposed to be "installed"? I can't quite imagine it. Shadow gap between "what"?

kaiserstand3425 May 2019 16:53You get the same shading effect if you let the windowsill extend about 2cm (1 inch) into the room without a joint. The main difference is that significantly more installers would be able to do this flawlessly.

A flush finish with the wall is a basic requirement for aesthetic reasons.M
Matthias 4025 May 2019 23:12But Helopal, as far as I know, offers accessories or profiles specifically designed for this shadow gap.
