What did you choose?

Is smoothed Q2 enough to just paint over?
Or do you need smoothed Q3?

We don't really like a textured finish.

3. 2 still needed some thorough filling.

How can we imagine the Q3 finish? What additional work steps are involved to achieve a smoother surface?

We have Q2, only painted.

After five years, we are seeing many more hairline cracks than we expected.

We can live with most of them; we tolerate the others. For the next house, we would choose a better quality!

Q3 means that the gypsum plaster is sanded again, then a batten is attached, which must be perfectly level. Existing defects are filled with a fine filler.
In my opinion, these plastering craftsmen cannot do this quickly; let the painter handle it. They are usually better at this. However, it has nothing to do with cracks. Karsten

Ok, thanks for the information and the explanation!
I will ask the painter.
