Hello everyone,
I need interior blinds for several windows and double patio doors (floor-to-ceiling windows). I would like to start a discussion or hear some experience reports on which factors to consider in order to achieve the "best possible privacy."
1. Slat width:
Blinds are offered with slat widths of 16, 25, 35, and 50 mm (0.6, 1, 1.4, and 2 inches). Does the width affect privacy? For example, I imagine that a 45° angle of a wider slat would create a larger reflective surface, scattering light more than a smaller one.
2. Material/color, etc.:
Do the material and/or color, as well as any coatings, influence privacy? What should be considered here?
3. Anything else?
By the way: We have roller shutters, but during the day I would like to let in more light while also improving privacy. We will soon have neighbors who will be positioned somewhat higher than us and build two full stories. I want to ensure good privacy from their viewpoint.
