Hello everyone,

according to the building plan, I am supposed to insulate the edge of the foundation slab (plinth) with 6cm (2.4 inches) WLG 025 insulation.
1.) I can’t find any such boards. Most only have WLG 035. Do you have any tips on where I can get these?
2.) Should they be fully glued, fixed with dowels, or both?

Best regards,

There are options, for example, from Synthos or Austrotherm (XPS Premium). However, with a thermal conductivity class (WLG) of 27 instead of 25.

PUR insulation is available as 025; you can search for “PUR perimeter insulation 025” to find information.
Are you planning to do it yourself? It’s best to use both dowels and adhesive, as it tends to come off otherwise, especially if you’re doing it yourself.

Burying PUR in the ground? Not the standard material.

Hi,

I also found the PUR perimeter insulation 025, but the description says "for interior insulation only."
Question: can I replace 6cm (2.4 inches) 025 with 8cm (3.1 inches) WLG 035?

That needs to be calculated. XXX XXXXX
