EDI Hoisdorf6 Mar 2013 21:22Hello,
perhaps someone here can help me.
The issue is about carefully removing the facade wall from the inside and then rebuilding it from the inside without damaging the brick veneer.
The main reason is that a steel T-beam has to be installed above the patio window to accommodate a two-panel sliding door.
The two photos were taken at corner 1 marked with the red arrow (see floor plan).
All following questions also relate to mold and condensation buildup.
1. How should the new wall construction be carried out?
2. Are there any issues with the adjacent concrete wall?
3. How can I improve the concrete wall from the inside?

carsten8516 Sep 2013 19:23Hello, we have also purchased an EDI house and I would like to replace the windows. Could you please tell me how the masonry/the walls are constructed? The walls sound somewhat hollow from the inside, unlike the interior walls, which sound very solid/firm. Best regards, Carsten
