Hi,

which solid wall construction should I use to achieve a minimum U-value of 0.15? It is important for me to have a slim wall, maximum 36 cm (14 inches).

Are filled poroton blocks very expensive?

Another one obsessed with insulation?

Plan your house with the architect and have the structural engineer do the calculations. Afterwards, together you choose the building material that your project requires or makes economic sense.

A filled 36.5 cm (14.4 inches) brick achieves a 0.15 U-value. In terms of cost, the better insulation was estimated to be about EUR 4,000 net more in my case.

Do you have additional external insulation boards or just 36.5 cm (14.4 inches) bricks?

Germany has well-known brick manufacturers. If you visit their websites, you will find the answers.

Especially with this question. None of us are clairvoyants, and with all due respect, your question is a bit vague.
