Good evening.
A terrace about 60cm (24 inches) high is going to be added to our house.
The base (exterior basement wall) of the house has been insulated (plaster, primer, two-component bitumen, XPS, dimpled membrane).
Underneath the terrace there will be approximately 40cm (16 inches) of gravel, 20cm (8 inches) of concrete, and terrace slabs on top. Around it, formwork blocks will be used to achieve the correct height.
Now the question is, what else needs to be considered between the terrace and the house? Should the dimpled membrane simply protrude at the top and then be trimmed (i.e., between the concrete and the house wall)? Or should an additional expansion joint similar to those used in screed be installed? Or something completely different?
By the way, a canopy will also be built over the terrace.

Thank you for the help.

The dimpled membrane is sufficient. Try using the search function! There was a very similar thread here recently.

Thank you very much for the reply.
Maybe you could give me a tip for a suitable search term?

Well, not really, "terrace"??? I'll take a look then.

Great, thanks.
Then we will only use the dimpled membrane.
