serasir-112 Mar 2010 09:12We want to insulate the ceiling of our air-raid shelter. We have learned that this is possible, but we need to use insulation fasteners that can be unscrewed later. Does anyone know where we can find these? So far, we have only found regular fasteners that cannot be removed once installed.
Who has experience with insulating air-raid shelter ceilings? We tried to drill a hole in the wall – no luck! What drill bits do you use?
Thanks for your help

Acoustic panels can be glued, so no drill is necessary; however, gluing will likely not work for thermal insulation boards, as they are probably too heavy. The manufacturer also recommends that "Saglan" and "Sagex" boards be mechanically fastened.
Perhaps a technical advisor from the manufacturers can assist you further; a fallout shelter ceiling is quite a specific case.
