Hello,
in the first picture, you can see a cladded room corner, and in the second picture, a fireplace with an unfinished corner next to it. Originally, the corner next to the fireplace was supposed to look similar to the one in the first picture.

Now, the plan is to place a wood-burning stove in the room right in front of this corner. This means the wall, which is built from wooden beams, OSB boards, and wood fiber insulation, will need to be covered.

My question is:
Does anyone know what the usual options are in such a case?
In theory, I could build a thin wall out of mineral-based materials in front of it. I would like to give this new wall a similar shape as the beam on the other side of the room...
Of course, I will research online what types of insulation are recommended behind wood-burning stoves, but good ideas often come up here in the forum as well 😉
Maybe I can catch some?

Your chimney sweep will tell you. He will likely recommend or require suitable chimney building boards (such as Silca Heat, Brula, or similar).
