Hello,
I own a garden shed without a basement. It is built on a concrete slab. I recently checked the floor structure and found the following layers: roofing felt, a 6cm (2.4 inch) thick wooden board, and laminate flooring. Now I want to remove all of that and properly insulate the floor. What materials can I use for this?

Thank you in advance

Hi
What is the purpose of your project?
I apologize if my question sounds a bit silly. In our garden shed, we keep the lawn mower, and when there is heavy rain, 20 people can still continue the party.

Did you want to live there permanently and install heating?
I would appreciate a brief explanation.
Thank you very much

Hello,
No, I do not intend to live there permanently. But I plan to celebrate the parties over Christmas and New Year's Eve there, and also spend time in the garden house on nice winter days. The house is 28 sqm (300 sq ft) and is heated electrically. It is built with wood brick construction and is sturdy. Maybe I will add facade insulation in the summer. First, the concrete slab.
Thank you very much for the responses.
Best regards
Luca

Hi,
In my opinion, your insulation efforts are pointless. This applies both to the floor and the wall. If the floor isn’t rotting, just leave it as it is.

Thank you for your response, but what do you mean by meaningless?

Could you please explain this to me?
Thank you

I think the effort and the benefit here are not proportional. That is probably what the previous poster meant. Perhaps a calculation would be helpful here.
