Hello everyone!
I cannot insulate my bathroom from the basement and now want to do it under the floor tiles instead. Which material would you recommend? It will of course reduce the ceiling height, so the thinner, the better.
Thanks and best regards

The new pipes could also be embedded in Thermozell concrete, which provides some insulation and also helps to level things out. Unfortunately, in older buildings, thermal bridges can never be completely eliminated. In our case, the basement floor is the cellar slab, so insulating from below is not possible; therefore, we installed everything on top. However, if there is a cellar below, it is of course possible to insulate the cellar ceiling. Some heat will still inevitably flow into the ceiling.
