ᐅ Installment Payments for Upper Floor Partitions

I urgently need your recommendation on the layout of the upper floor. I am deciding whether to open the living room to a small office (as shown in the attached picture) or if I should instead prefer separate enclosed rooms.

Option 1: Open living room with small office In this option, I would combine the living room with a small office, similar to the attached picture, with partition walls between the rooms, bathroom, and living room.

Option 2: Separate enclosed rooms (as shown in the plan) Alternatively, I could divide the upper floor into separate enclosed rooms.

I am unsure which option is the better choice. Could you please give me your recommendation? Thank you very much in advance for your support!

Which plan exactly? It would be helpful to provide a clear floor plan sketch of both versions.

Bain rings a bell, Salon as well… but it’s not clear what changes or features you want.
Please provide a clear sketch including furniture layout and any openings if applicable.
Otherwise, my advice is: if you are working remotely, an open space is sufficient, while a home office with phone calls or family background noise should be separate. However, it is your responsibility to describe this here!

Sorry, here you can find a better plan. My wife wants a separation between the staircase and the living room, and I have drawn a partition wall. I look forward to your suggestions.

I would build a wall exactly where you want it—no unnecessary extras or uneven sections.
