Hello,
I urgently need help.
We bought this Pax wardrobe with all the interior fittings, etc. Now I have the problem that when I want to install the drawers all the way at the bottom, the holes are already taken up by the hinges of the flap doors.
Are there any solutions for this, or do I have to leave the holes empty and waste valuable space?
Thank you for your response.

I have an 11-year-old folding door Pax system, and in one section, due to the original construction (insert with wire baskets, 1m (3.3 ft) carcass, installation about 90cm (35.4 inches) wide), only three out of four hinges are used, and it has worked without any problems for years.

Because I don’t want to waste those 2 holes. Or what else should I put there? To make the best use of the space, in my opinion, the wire basket option is the most practical.

assamerer9 Aug 2010 12:37Giving away space is one thing – but it’s a solution that nobody has mentioned so far.
And regarding two holes – sorry, what can you really fit on 2-3 cm (1-1.2 inches)? Since the two holes at the very bottom are missing, in my opinion the lost space doesn’t really matter.
For example, I have the same issue with the Faktum base cabinets: the hinges are also positioned at the very bottom, and if you use a basket or drawer, you have to use the first two holes at the bottom for the hinges, otherwise it won’t work (or you attach the door to the drawer).

Maverick185410 Aug 2010 07:59For example, I have an issue with the Faktum base cabinets: the hinges are mounted very low, so when using a wire basket or drawer, you have to use the first two holes at the bottom for the hinges; otherwise, it won’t work (unless you attach the door directly to the drawer). With the wire basket, this is possible, but not with the drawer. Installing the wire basket doesn’t waste any space, whereas the drawer takes up about 3-4 cm (1–1.5 inches). What can I put in that space?
If you don’t mind, you can of course leave that area open. For me, I won’t waste that space, even if the wire basket isn’t the most attractive option.

assamerer10 Aug 2010 09:05Even with a wire basket, space is wasted. The rail requires two holes for mounting. Once the basket is installed, nothing can be placed underneath – so in fact, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a drawer or a basket. Both, when the door is installed and the hinge is in use, do not sit directly on the base plate but have some clearance underneath.
