Hello,
in our future new build, laminate flooring is planned for the children's rooms and bedrooms.
So far, I understand that no impact sound insulation will be installed, except possibly the fully integrated type included with newer or more expensive laminate. I've also heard that the laminate should be glued down rather than floated to ensure better heat transfer.
Is this really the case?
Thanks for your tips and experiences.

Hello,
If laminate flooring is suitable for underfloor heating, you can also install impact sound insulation if needed. However, this insulation must also be suitable for underfloor heating. There are options with and without this suitability, available not only in the expensive but also in the more affordable price range.
