Hello,
Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?
We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

There will be a residential basement designed to feel cozy. The floor will probably be a pleasantly warm tile... possibly even in a wood look, which I have always been hesitant about.
How about "bio" vinyl? For example, there is Purline bio flooring from Wineo. It was recommended to us, and we have a sample at home that doesn’t look like plastic at all. According to the manufacturer, it contains oils and other natural raw materials. (But also a little plastic, since it’s not possible to make it completely without.)
Because of the design, we have now decided to go with a "regular" vinyl floor from Wineo for the kitchen. The sample we have at home also doesn’t have any odor. In contrast, we had samples of vinyl floors from other manufacturers at home that smelled strongly of plastic and very unhealthy on the underside.

Oh, that exists too? Thanks for the tip, I’ll take a look right away!
Our floor does not smell like plastic. However, it is still swelling near the kitchen patio door. Tomorrow I will visit the supplier to address this.
The floor will be inspected. We might know just as much as we do today, or possibly more. By now, we can even sell vinyl ourselves. The floor keeps growing and growing and growing....
Overall, several areas had to be reworked multiple times.

Is it growing? I really can’t imagine that... some kind of miraculous multiplication?
So vinyl is out for us... better to have an old wood-look tile in the basement than smelly, growing vinyl.
