Hello,
Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?
We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

Hello Sabine,
Vinyl floors are generally coated with a so-called UV protective layer. Beneath this layer, there is a vinyl wear layer and a vinyl decorative layer.
Overall, the surface feels soft (what you described as rubbery), but thanks to the protective coating, it has a relatively smooth, easy-to-maintain surface. So no worries, you won’t be scrubbing yourself raw. Lightly damp mopping is absolutely no problem.

I can’t fully agree with Sigi now. It depends on the surface of the floor. There are smooth and grained finishes. The more wood grain texture there is, the harder it is to wipe clean.
For this reason, we have now bought a vacuum mop. In the long run, cleaning vinyl the traditional way was too tiring for me.
I recommend testing samples.
I use a vinyl floor cleaner because it was highly recommended to us after the complaint.
