Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

Found: Trendtime 6.30 series. Yes, costs are significantly higher.

Hello Stefan,
about a year ago, I installed the PARADOR vinyl plank from the Trenttime series: Trendtime 6.30 Castle Oak Skyline Pearl Gray with wood texture.
The plank length is 2200mm (87 inches), beveled on all four sides, with cork underlay for impact sound insulation, wear layer thickness of 0.55mm, and as far as I remember, it cost around 30 euros per square meter (about $30 per square yard).

Sample has been ordered
Thanks, Sigi. When a woman also likes the design, the matter is settled.

Glad to read that. I also like the floor because it looks simple yet elegant. An advantage is the HDF baseboard and edge impregnation, which makes it even more resistant. I’m looking forward to it.

Even more resistant? Resistant to what exactly? HDF actually tends to be a drawback when it comes to moisture and expansion (if you want to find one).

For the color, we chose Royal Oak in white brushed finish – we always wanted to glue it down, but Parador recently changed the instructions, and now it may only be installed as a floating floor.

I still have a slight concern about...

HDF has closed pores, making it more resistant to moisture, with higher compressive strength and dimensional stability.

For these reasons, high-quality flooring uses HDF substrate panels. Especially with click systems, HDF proves to be advantageous, being significantly more stable than MDF.
