Hello,

I would like to install network outlets in almost every room of my house during the renovation.

I haven’t done this before, but it shouldn’t be too difficult. I got a few outlets and now I want to ask about how to connect them. The outlets have two connectors, one for the input and one for the output to the next outlet? I connected them like that, but only the first outlet works and only one connector on that outlet.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I have connected a total of 6 outlets, they are flush-mounted Cat 5e outlets.

Thank you very much!

Hello,

you have made a serious mistake. The two ports on the network outlet are there because each port requires its own cable. You cannot connect multiple PCs through a single network cable unless you use a switch or router in between.

In other words: for each of the 6 outlets, you need 2 incoming cables = 12 incoming cables. Unfortunately, this is quite impractical.

Best regards
