Hello everyone,

I have a question.

I am currently installing the flush-mount electrical boxes in my shell construction.

If I am going to apply 1cm (0.4 inches) of plaster, how should I position the electrical boxes?

Should they be flush with the raw wall, or should they protrude by 1cm (0.4 inches) since the plaster will be added later?

Thank you very much.

You can leave them protruding up to 1 cm (0.4 inches). However, it’s better to have a little less than too much.

Set it slightly above the structural dimensions.

We have recessed it completely / flush. Then a red cover was placed on top, which will be plastered over and has small red tips indicating the location of the box, so the opening can be easily found later and carefully exposed. 🙂

I will most likely set them flush as well, and where I have limited space, possibly like Bookstar.
