Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. I am building a ConZero pool this year. The excavation is already done. First, the geotextile fabric will be installed, followed by a basalt gravel layer 0/32 on the clay soil, which I will compact. After that, approximately a 20cm (8 inches) layer of crushed stone will be added according to the instructions.

Now I am unsure about how to handle the drainage. I want to position an inspection shaft at an outer corner of the excavation and install an 80mm (3 inches) drainage ring pipe wrapped in geotextile fabric with a slight slope leading to the inspection shaft.

My current idea is to install the ring pipe outside in the gravel layer, where I would not compact. The ring pipe would then be placed between the clay soil and the gravel. Or would it be better to place the ring pipe on the outside on compacted gravel?

And does the drainage pipe have to be installed in the gravel bed?
