Michl123Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and hope that I have posted in the right subforum with my question. 🙂
I am currently researching drainage channels. More precisely, I want to install a drainage channel at my floor-to-ceiling windows (with a low threshold). The channel should run between the window frame, as shown in the image below. For financial and aesthetic reasons, I would like to use a drainage channel that is 1 meter (3.3 feet) long. I also have enough space of a few centimeters (inches) under the frame on both the right and left sides. However, I assume the problem would be that I could no longer lift the grate off, or are there drainage channels with special mechanisms or multi-part grates for such cases?
If my proposed idea is not advisable, I would appreciate it if you could tell me how much space around the window frame is recommended. And in that case, how could I fill the space next to the frame?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Michl
