ᐅ Installing a concrete canopy as an addition.

We are currently building our single-family house, 180 sqm (1,937 sq ft) over two levels. We missed discussing the entrance canopy with the architect. We want one made of concrete with two columns. The basement ceiling will be installed this Thursday. Is it possible to add such a canopy later? How would that affect all the necessary permits / planning permission? We definitely want to have it done before we move in because it probably will never happen afterward 🙂

Of course, that can be done later – as far as I know, a canopy is also considered a secondary structural element.

The best thing is to simply ask the architect, since that’s what they are there for 😉
