Hello everyone,
I want to install the Bosch SMV68M90EU dishwasher in my Metod kitchen because it received good ratings from Stiftung Warentest. After reading quite a bit here, I currently have the following questions:
Is installation possible with a flip hinge for tall cabinet dimensions? Unfortunately, Bosch does not provide more information about this hinge. It seems to work, but the comments I’ve read make me doubt that.
According to Bosch, the height of the toe kick must be at least 9 cm (3.5 inches). How does this affect Metod cabinets with 8 cm (3 inches)? Is there any way to address this?
XXL or large-capacity dishwashers are often recommended here because the front panel can be attached directly. But when I look at Bosch models, even these fronts only go up to 775 mm (30.5 inches). Am I misunderstanding something?
This topic seems really complicated, and the more I read, the more unsure I become. I would really appreciate any help!

Yes, you could just open the door and look at the display on top. You could also rely on the Aquastop. You could only start it on days when you don’t plan to go out anymore...
And yes, this probably falls into the category “things I don’t really need” – but still, I find it pretty cool.
I also think that timeLight is compatible with the Stefan method. It’s probably projected somehow from the bottom edge of the door in front of the plinth onto the floor. I can’t imagine it any other way without the door/front being in the way in every case. And it also works with a fully lowered appliance since it still has a plinth.

But now, we’re not going to take turns here listing everything else we find attractive in the kitchen, right?

IKEA-Experte31 Oct 2015 09:53No no, that would definitely make this too long.
Hiding a Miele dishwasher completely behind a front panel is like putting a sack over a well-built man.

Besides, this question doesn’t even arise for me since Miele doesn’t have Timelight anyway – ha!
As you can see, I’m still able to smirk. Let’s see if that’s still the case after assembling the 20,000-piece Ikea puzzle and installing the dishwasher. I have a theory about that. But as Confucius said: “All’s well that ends well!”
Wishing everyone a nice weekend from

With a semi-integrated dishwasher, a timelight would be pointless.
Have a nice weekend too.
