Hello,

we are looking for insect screens for our windows and doors. Which manufacturers would you recommend that offer mesh which is almost invisible? I have seen the Neher Transpatec mesh with acquaintances, and it is truly nearly invisible. Are there any alternative manufacturers to Neher that also offer similarly nearly invisible mesh? Neher products are definitely quite expensive and high-end.

We want solid quality, and the mesh should be as unobtrusive as possible, so discount products are obviously out of the question. The price-performance ratio should be reasonable. We definitely want to order a pre-assembled product and not install it ourselves, as we are not skilled with DIY and do not have the time or interest to install so many screens.

What would you recommend for the windows? Fixed frames or roller screens?

Fixed frames are cheaper. Rollers, for example, can be rolled up in winter or when cleaning the windowsill without having to remove and reinstall the fixed frame. With a roller, you can simply pull it up to look out of the window.

In any case, choose black mesh screening—it fades into the background. Never white; that looks terrible!

Especially with a door, black is definitely better. We have that now, and it works well. Before, we had something more transparent—which was terrible. We bumped into it twice, and if you pay attention, it’s neither here nor there.
