Hello!
Has anyone here ever tried retrofitting an inner drawer pull-out mechanism? You often see them in kitchen showrooms. When you open the outer drawer, the inner one is pulled out as well. I found it quite practical, but it is not available as a standard feature at Ikea.
Best regards,
Daniel

The 25mm (1 inch) hole is an issue for many, for whatever reason.
How is the part attached to the inner drawer?

So far, I have only placed it loosely. I removed 1.8mm (0.07 inches) using a router, which results in a slight oversize fit. The red things are still the release films from an adhesive tape, so I assume they are usually just stuck on. However, I think I will secure it with a screw from behind.
Just for completeness. Instead of Utrusta, the Blum aluminum front Z31L1036A (white) (€15.20) with the side plastic holders ZIF.71M0 (white) (€4.70) should fit. If that works, then the ZIF.80M7 (white) handle with driver can be installed (€6.62).
However, simply shortening the aluminum fronts is definitely more complex than the solution proposed so far.
