hello

what does this mean

Rub test cycles: 24,000
Abrasion resistance: 4 good
Pilling: 4 slight

Abrasion resistance probably refers to the fabric’s durability? What number would be considered very good or insufficient, or in other words, what should it have?
Pilling then is probably similar to fuzzing? How should "slight" be rated?

Can someone help me with this?

€: Which sofa manufacturers can be considered good or high-quality in terms of quality and workmanship, not bad or similar?
Which ones are rather not recommended?

Which fabric would you avoid? For example, leather is not an option for me, and I don’t like coarse woven fabric.

Just search for the terms on Google, and you will find answers. As with everything, price is crucial for quality and workmanship. Consider how the seams are finished, the upholstery fabric, the type of padding, and whether there are adjustable headrests.........

We have a sofa from Ewald Schilling - Even if you exclude leather, for us only leather was an option because of hygiene. Over the years, fabric tends to accumulate quite a bit.

Besides leather and fabric, fortunately, there are still a thousand other, sometimes very innovative materials...

Then you better not look into how leather is industrially tanned. Dust mites and dust are nothing compared to that. 🙄 😀
