I find the passive house concept quite fascinating and am considering whether to choose this type of home. But what about the indoor air quality? I can’t imagine that the ventilation system can provide a good indoor climate. Maybe there is someone here who lives in a passive house and can tell me how it compares to a house with natural ventilation.

From a hygiene perspective, the indoor air quality of a passive house would definitely be good with regular maintenance of the ventilation system. For high demands regarding specific humidity levels (musical instruments, artworks, valuable wooden antiques), precautions should be taken together with a specialist planner to ensure the required humidity levels are met.
