Today the plasterers finished applying the plaster to our house.
We noticed that the plaster color is not the one we ordered.
The foreman didn’t speak directly with us but only with his supervisor, who admitted that the wrong color was ordered.
However, the plasterers completed the entire house.
Now the house is almost white with a slight gray tint, but we wanted a stronger gray.
Apparently, the foreman told the supervisor that they will paint it.
Our question is, first of all, if they do paint it, what should we look out for to make sure it’s done properly?
Do the painters need to prime the entire house again first? And what type of paint should they use?
We just don’t want to be taken advantage of.
Secondly, he could also offer us a discount instead. Does anyone have an idea of what would be a fair amount?
How much would the painting work typically cost?
Probably about the same amount as what we’re paying for plastering now, right?
We would be very grateful for any advice!
