I am planning to buy an awning that is 4m wide and extends 3.50m (11.5 feet). The problem is that I can only install it up to a maximum height of 2.50m (8.2 feet) on the wall. With a 9-degree incline, this would result in a clearance height of 1.95m (6.4 feet). However, a minimum inclination angle of 15 degrees is usually recommended.
What are your experiences?
Best regards, Volker

A minimum slope angle of 15 degrees is always recommended. This ensures that rain and dirt are washed away effectively. However, using 9 degrees is not a problem if the awning can be adjusted to that angle. - Is the awning always fully extended?
- Is a length of 195 cm (77 inches) absolutely necessary?

You don’t always have to fully extend it anyway. Then you also have more headroom. I don’t see a real problem with 9 degrees — I already explained the reason for the “standard.”
