Hello everyone,
we built our house 4 years ago (2020) and moved in.
One of the room doors creaks briefly when opened. All other doors are quiet, as expected.
It can’t be the door frame because it has already been aligned and oiled. We suspect the issue lies in the connection between the drywall (plasterboard) wall, the door frame, and the PVC flooring.
But pinpointing the problem? That’s the tricky part! We are getting frustrated because even after a second attempt, the professionals couldn’t fully fix the issue. Pictures will follow.
Maybe this community has some solutions?
Thank you.
Best regards, Tarik

Who were these so-called "professionals" – installers from the construction company …
… who already seemed somewhat unconvincing back then? It seems to me that various aspects regarding form, fit, and alignment are “not exactly straight,” and except for the last resort, oiling won’t help much. Door frames standing on the floor (even with an air gap) probably aren’t exactly top quality. I hope the warranty period hasn’t expired or been interrupted. During the warranty period, the contractor does have the right to make repairs. However, this does not mean you should let the contractor assess what constitutes a defect instead of an independent expert. Discuss this with a specialist lawyer and consider involving an independent inspector. We really were lucky with the construction company. As with any company, different people work on a project — some convincing, others less so. Overall, it was a good decision. I wouldn’t always involve a lawyer, even though nowadays it has become common practice because no one wants to give in easily. Other comments, like

First, consult an expert; I only mentioned a lawyer as a precaution to avoid missing any deadlines. A lawyer doesn’t mean declaring war—it’s simply the professional who handles formal and timely complaints and so on. If necessary, you can then follow their advice using your own letterhead.
