Hello everyone,
The idea is to create the thermal slab without an additional floor structure and leave it as exposed concrete. How does this affect impact sound insulation, or would it be possible to include impact sound insulation within the concrete? The reason is that I am not a fan of screed, neither dry nor wet installed. The wet option is out of the question anyway since the building is timber frame construction.
Thanks and best regards

Now I just need to find out how well the hemp-clay infill handles the residual moisture. You probably won't get a definitive answer because it’s hard to predict precisely. Could you temporarily install OSB directly on top without the infill and then add the insulation after everything has dried out?
Or, an idea from my excellent site manager back then was to use fine, dry sand as insulation. It would absorb moisture and could later simply be removed.
