trudelshuhn25 Oct 2009 18:47Hello,
I am assembling my VÄRDE sideboard (the one with 12 glass drawers). The main frame is set up, and I have easily put together 4 drawers. However, the other 8 don’t fit: I first screw in the pins, insert the wooden dowel into the drawer side panels, attach them to the front, and screw them together. That part works fine. Then I slide in the bottom panel, which also fits. But when I try to attach the back panel of the drawer, it doesn’t work: it sits crooked, so only the bottom screws can be fully tightened. I think I’ve identified the problem: the bottom panel fits into a groove, but in some side panels this groove is about 1 mm (0.04 inches) misaligned, which prevents the bottom panel from fully sliding into the front piece.
Does anyone have a solution?

if I understand correctly and it’s really only about 1mm (0.04 inches), it might help you to initially not tighten the screws all the way, but just a little, so you can slide the floor panel in. This way you have some leeway, and then you can fully tighten the screws. It’s worth a try. Otherwise, you might have to go back to your IKEA and have the corresponding parts of the VÄRDE replaced.
Fingers crossed for you!
