KabelelaGood evening.
Today I tried to get a Metod kitchen wall cabinet with Utrusta hinges working properly.
Situation:
- Two Metod cabinets 60 x 60 cm (24 x 24 inches) connected together, wall-mounted without floor support
- Four Utrusta hinges
- One door, 1.20 x 60 cm (47 x 24 inches)
The hinges are attached to the door, but the door does not stay in place, neither at the top nor in the middle. I also set the weight adjustment on all hinges to the heaviest setting, but it seems to have no effect at all.
I’ve read the instructions thoroughly and checked everything five times, but the door still does not hold; neither fully open nor partially.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Best regards,
Kabelela

IKEA-Experte14 Dec 2014 10:30Yes, for the smaller one, a maximum door height of 40 cm (16 inches) is specified, and you have 60 cm (24 inches). Depending on the door’s weight, it might still work or it might not.
