We assembled a Metod kitchen last week. The installation using a wall rail went very well overall.
However, we are now facing the following issue:
The Utrusta shelves in our 40cm (15 3/4 inches) and 60cm (23 5/8 inches) base cabinets are very difficult to install. You have to push quite hard at the back of the cabinet to get the shelves into the correct position. We are now concerned that the cabinet frame might be damaged by the pressure.
Loosening the screws connecting the countertop and the adjacent cabinet did not relieve the tension in the cabinet frame.
Do you have any tips on what else we could try?

first, measure to check whether the cabinet body narrows towards the back or if the shelves are not cut correctly.

The width of the cabinet and the shelves are almost exactly the same (± 1 mm).
By the way, I just received this response from the Ikea Helpdesk:
“In our experience, the shelves fit very tightly. This does not affect your cabinet. If you encounter major difficulties during assembly, please contact customer service at the store with the original proof of purchase.”
I think everything should be fine then.
