ᐅ IKEA UTRUSTA Door Damper Installation by Snap-Fitting

Hello everyone!

I’m struggling to snap my Utrusta door dampers (item no. 402.418.23) onto the existing hinges (item no. 602.046.45). For 2 out of 6, it worked perfectly with a click, but for the other 4, nothing happens. No clicking, pressing doesn’t help... nothing. What am I doing wrong? Do the hinges need to be in a specific position? I even removed the doors again to get better access, but no luck.

Does anyone know this issue or have any tips?

Nothing really clicks. First, place it at the front, pull it slightly toward you, and then press it in at the back.

Thanks for the tip, myticas! My husband and I were starting to doubt ourselves... Strangely, we had two bags of hinges that had already been opened and resealed. They must have been returned once before. We didn't need to do anything about that, just bent the springs correctly, and that was it! Great solution.
