Hello everyone,

During my move, the ceramic cooktop broke. Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy just the cooktop separately? IKEA said no. But maybe standard cooktops would fit?

As an alternative, I’m also interested to know if any standard built-in oven fits into the Udden frame.

Thanks for any answers.

Best regards

Hello,

If it is the Udden CG3: that is an Electrolux appliance. You can get a new glass ceramic cooktop for about 200€ (approximately $215) directly from the manufacturer.

There may also be other (possibly cheaper) suppliers...

Yes, the glass-ceramic cooktop is available separately as a replacement part; the price is stated above...

= approx. 300 €

Other ranges will not fit into the frame, nor will other cooktops, unless the control circuitry timing is compatible.

I consider this a total economic loss.

Hi,

It is possible to install a self-contained cooktop, meaning one with its own connection. However, in that case, the control knobs on the oven become useless.

At hardware stores, you can find universal cooktops that come with multiple plug connectors in a set. They cost around 100 Euro. Just ask about them.

Other options have already been mentioned above.
