Hello everyone,

new here and have a question right away...
I am currently assembling my new Trysil bed and have reached the point where I need to decide whether to attach the rail, on which the slatted frame will rest, at the top or bottom. I have a Malvik mattress (14cm (5 inches) high) and a Sultan Lovund slatted frame. Judging by the mattress height (and this is how it is shown in the instructions), I would attach the rail at the top. However, the slatted frame seems quite tall to me, so I think I might need to fix the rail at the bottom.
Has anyone built this combination before? Or have experience with whether a taller slatted frame really influences where the rails need to be mounted?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers and have a great weekend,
Suzy

Hello, just measure the height of the Sultan and the distance from the track to the frame edge. If there is at least 4 cm (1.5 inches) of clearance above the Sultan, I would mount it at the top; otherwise, rather at the bottom.

Hello,

thank you very much for your reply! Since the spring wood frame is about 7.5cm (3 inches) high and the distance from the top rail to the frame edge was also only about 7.5cm (3 inches), I have now chosen the bottom rail. I won’t know how it feels to sleep on it until tomorrow morning, but it definitely looks right!

Thanks again, a really great forum!
