I would like to make our utility room a bit more stylish. The goal is to integrate a small L-shaped kitchen here to hide the house’s connections.
One wall has a window with a windowsill. Originally, I wanted to slide the kitchen countertop underneath it.
But I don’t think that’s possible because Metod cabinets are 80cm (31½ inches) high and the legs are at least 7cm (2¾ inches). That adds up to 87cm (34¼ inches), but the windowsill starts just above 87cm (34¼ inches) and ends just above 89cm (35 inches).
Now I’m thinking to finish the kitchen countertop just above 89cm (35 inches) and place the countertop over the windowsill.
The window sash and the electrical outlet have a 5cm (2 inches) clearance to the windowsill.
What do you think? Does that work, or do you have other/better ideas?
