So... here I am again!

I actually wanted to share the plan of our IKEA Metod kitchen here, but I just can't manage to link my kitchen layout.
I've tried several times now. Could someone help me?

Best regards,
Frosch

I have no issues with the Atlant siphon. Standard siphons often take up too much space, making it difficult to fit trash bins under the sink.

Other siphons also fit IKEA sinks, but you won’t find suitable ones at hardware stores, and the staff there usually have no idea. You just need a 3 1/2" sink drain. These are now also used in sinks from Blanco or Franke.

With standard traps, they often take up too much space, making it difficult to fit trash bins under the sink without issues.

I have an aftermarket sink with an aftermarket trap and found a bin online that, including the lid, is exactly a few centimeters lower than the small Ikea bin. Otherwise, it fits perfectly in the cutout at the back right as if it was made for it:

On the left in the 60cm (24 inches) drawer, I have the long Ikea bin, on the right front the small Ikea bin, and behind it the aftermarket bin. I’m happy to provide a photo if needed. Of course, precise measurements are essential.

Wow, thanks for all your many responses!

Regarding the sink: my husband really doesn’t like composite granite, and I would prefer a ceramic sink, but I’m probably too clumsy for that... it would likely need to be replaced after at most 1 year, probably sooner! 😉
So, stainless steel and no IKEA siphon—that my husband hates with a passion (he dislikes so many things... it’s crazy 😀)
We’ll probably source the sink "externally" then 🙂

I will measure the kitchen again carefully, just in case I made a mistake! Because it would look so much better without the huge panels! Thanks!

Trash: it will probably go under the sink, but exactly how, well, I will work on that this evening, very good suggestion!

I knew why I asked here!!!! 😀

potschat – what strange words you have...

If you don’t use a siphon from IKEA, make sure to choose a space-saving siphon. This can help you avoid potential space issues.

I also think "Ladenkasterl" is absolutely brilliant...

I would probably go for a stainless steel sink with a linen finish.

I would also include waste storage under the sink. IKEA has a nice bucket system for waste sorting that can be installed in the bottom drawer. In our kitchen, we have this bucket drawer installed higher up, just below the countertop. It’s very practical—you don’t have to bend down all the time and can simply sweep crumbs and such directly from the countertop into the organic waste bin.

😀 hahahaha yes yes, German and Austrian, an endless source of amusement 😀

But hey, you knew what I meant! 😀

Space-saving siphon and linen texture – noted!

Yes, I’ve also come across that compost bin system, but aren’t they tiny tiny tiny??? I think I’ll have to see them in person! 🙂
