gerfriFor months, the Bodbyn kitchen fronts (gray) for Metod have not been available for purchase either in physical stores or online.
I don’t understand the situation anymore. The fronts are listed in the current catalog and are promoted in the showroom (display kitchen, front samples on the wall, etc.) as available for purchase. Meanwhile, I have been waiting for 6 months, and no one has been able to tell me when the fronts will be back in stock. Where does this product even come from???

KnolleJupp22 Jan 2015 21:20Oh, oh...
I am currently planning a new kitchen, and it will have the BODBYN fronts, but in a light color.
At our IKEA, it says: “Currently 8 weeks delivery time.” However, we have not yet asked for a specific delivery time when making a purchase.
I could easily live with 8 weeks, but 6 months?? 😱
By the way, production takes place, among other locations, in Lithuania and Belarus. 😉

Sektionschef23 Jan 2015 11:33Last year in November, we purchased our kitchen with Bodbyn light fronts at Ikea Bratislava. Most of them were in stock there, but we had to wait an additional week for a few fronts.

Hello,
I have also been waiting here in France for 3 months to be able to buy/order the Bodbyn kitchen in gray.
I am quite surprised by Ikea’s misinformation strategy. No official statement, no alternatives.
Since this problem has been ongoing for months, the number of dissatisfied customers will continue to grow – which I don’t think is in Ikea’s best interest.
It’s a shame that my first forum post is so negative – but here in France there are no alternatives in the same price range. And my wife is really putting pressure on me 🙁
It would be good if someone from the official side finally stepped up to issue a statement. In the end, the cards will be reshuffled at the latest with the new catalog – hopefully with alternatives offered.
For me and many other customers, that will be too late and we will start looking elsewhere; but Ikea still makes enough profit, right?

Hello,
I think you are referring to the statement about the lifetime exchange right – widely publicized in Germany.
However, this does not exist here in France, and I also don’t believe that you can change the entire fronts in Germany either. Even IKEA cannot afford that.
