Dear IKEA fans,

I’m usually quite good at assembling IKEA furniture, but I’m currently struggling with the drawer of the built-in oven cabinet (Metod / Förvara).

White kitchen cabinet with open drawer, interior visible.

The drawer front is too tall and hits the top edge (just below the oven). Did I install the front the wrong way around? How can I remove the front again? With the previous kitchen series, this was quite easy.

It would be great if someone has an idea of what I can do so the kitchen can finally be finished!

THANKS in advance!

Hello,
you probably missed on page 6 that you need to jump to page 12.

For disassembly, proceed backward starting from page 20.

I have a similar problem. I assembled the cabinet for the stove, including the drawer slides and the shelf where the stove will sit. But when I try to insert the drawer, it always hits the shelf holding the stove.

The stove fits exactly, so I can’t install the shelf any higher. The drawer slides are mounted at the lowest position, so I can’t lower them either.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? Should I have installed the drawer before mounting the shelf where the stove will sit?

Thanks and have a nice evening,
Katinka

Do you have exactly the cabinet that KatjaM. linked? Can you upload a photo showing the situation?
