Good morning,
I am planning to order a Metod kitchen in the next few days and have already designed a layout.
Since I am a beginner in kitchen planning, I would appreciate any tips and feedback on what could be improved or done differently.
All base cabinets will have drawers.
The cabinet to the left of the oven will have a hinged door and inside, it will also have drawers.
The appliances I am using are:
Oven: Siemens HS658GXS6
Cooktop: Siemens EH675FN27E
Dishwasher: Neff S72P69X0EU XXL with a Vario hinge and cutlery drawer
Extractor hood: not decided yet, probably the Ikea Underverk
Refrigerator: already owned
Best regards,
Chris

IKEA-Experte1 Jun 2016 15:20Hello,
First, filler panels between the wall and the cabinets are missing. The gaps to the wall should be a bit larger. For example, you need to be able to open the tall cabinet door at least at a 90° angle to pull out the drawers.
I would skip the 20cm (8 inches) cabinet and instead use an 80cm (31 inches) cabinet under the cooktop, along with a wider cooktop. A 60cm (24 inches) cabinet gets crowded quickly. I have often been annoyed that I don’t have space for a wider cooktop.
The wall cabinets should then be aligned flush with the base cabinets.
An extractor hood with a grease separation efficiency of 66% would be too low for me.
